Ladies and gentlemen... me.

My name is Gilbert Mensah Blankson-Afful, and I am a full-stack software engineer with a passion for building web and desktop applications. I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Ghana. I have been working in the industry for 9 years and I have gained extensive experience in developing software solutions for a wide range of clients and businesses.

My technical skills include proficiency in multiple programming languages such as PHP,  Nodejs, Reactjs, Angular, C#(.NET Framework),   web development frameworks like Laravel, Nextjs, and database management systems like MySQL, and PostgreSQL.

I am also familiar with other front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS (Bootstrap, TailwindCSS, MaterialUI), JavaScript & Jquery, and I use them to build responsive and user-friendly web interfaces.

I have extensive real-world experience with using deployment technologies and platforms including AWS, and Docker for production systems. I am also really great with using Git (Github & Bitbucket) for collaboration with other developers and for setting up CI/CD Pipelines.

One of the most important aspects of software engineering for me is ensuring that the software I build is maintainable, scalable, and secure. I prioritize writing clean, well-structured code and following best practices to ensure that my projects can be easily maintained and scaled in the future. Additionally, I have experience implementing security measures such as user authentication and authorization to protect applications from unauthorized access.

I am currently working and learning towards becoming a Machine learning engineer. I love Maths and I have always been fascinated by how it merges with software engineering with applications in Artificial Intelligence.

In addition to my technical skills, I also have strong communication and collaboration skills. I enjoy working with others and believe that effective communication is essential to the success of any project. I have experience working with cross-functional teams and am comfortable presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

I co-founded a retail tech company 4yrs ago called Sumundi. We provide POS software services to small to medium-sized retail and wholesale enterprises. We also provide agency services like professional stock-taking and retail consultancy.

When I'm not coding, I enjoy playing video games, watching Netflix, NBA, football, and reading books on business strategy. I believe that a well-rounded life outside of work helps to fuel creativity and keeps me energized and motivated.
